Who we are
Brume Healthcare Services is a home care company based in Chadderton, covering Greater Manchester. We employ our carers, train them, and build rotas that send the same people back to the same homes.
No one should have to leave home because the help they needed didn't turn up.
Why Brume exists
My grandparents raised me in Nigeria. When they got old, there was no care company to call. There was family. Somebody was always in the house — cooking, washing, sitting with them, arguing with them. They died at home, in their own beds, with people who knew their names.
When I started care work here, I saw how differently it can go. Fifteen minutes to get someone washed and dressed. A different face every morning. People who'd lived eighty years being handled like a task on a list.
Brume is my attempt at the other thing. Not family — I'm not going to pretend we're that. But the same idea: somebody who knows you, who comes back, who has time to sit down.

How we're set up
Registration
We are going through registration with the Care Quality Commission.
Employed carers
Not self-employed, not introduced through an agency. Contracts, holiday pay and training paid for.
Everyone is checked
Enhanced DBS check including the adult barred list, right to work, full employment history and two references, before anyone sets foot in a client's home.
